Ascension School is a Catholic parish school located in Halethorpe, Maryland under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
Established in 1929, Ascension is a Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade school that is rich in heritage with dedicated staff, alumni and parents.
Ascension School's mission is to educate the whole child, and realize that each student is gifted spiritually, academically, socially and physically. This allows each child to develop both as a witness to the Catholic faith and as an individual, infused with self-esteem. responsibility, dignity and commitment to the greater good.
Ascension uses field trips, guest speakers and hands on activities to enrich the school curriculum at every level. Other activities offered are: Art, Music, Physical Education, Library and Computer. Band is available to students in Grades 4 through 8.
