Tuition is established on cost-per-pupil basis.  There are two tuition rates: in-parish and out-of- parish.  The in-parish rate is for those families who have been registered members of Ascension Parish for at least six months prior to enrolling a child in Ascension School, who worship regularly at Ascension Church, and who use the church contribution envelopes at least twenty-four (24) times each year. Tuition for the 2009-10 school year is set as follows:

All tuition payments will be made through FACTS Tuition Management Services.
After initial enrollment, families will be given information concerning FACTS enrollment. 

In February, families are asked to register/re-register their child/ren for the following school year.  At this time, a non-refundable tuition deposit of $100 and book fee of $100 are required.  No student is placed on a class list for the following school year until this deposit is made.  Returning students will receive a rebate on books based upon the Maryland State Non-Public School Textbook Program’s allotment per child.

Additional fees include :

•  Technology Fee of $ 150 per child with a maximum of $ 300 per family
•  Archdiocesan Enabling/Marketing Fee of $ 50.

Ascension parish contributes funds to the school, not as subsidy, but to be used for tuition assistance.  Each spring the principal applies for a grant from the Cardinal’s Lenten Appeal for the purpose of generating additional funds for tuition assistance.  Families apply for tuition assistance by completing an online application to FACTS Grant and Aid Services.  This company reviews the applications and makes recommendations to the pastor and principal in the distribution of the funds.  Application for tuition assistance must be renewed annually.  The deadline for submitting completed applications is May 28, 2010 and will be strictly adhered to; families who miss the deadline will not be considered for tuition assistance.
